Mistress of ceremonies Kathleen O'Malley shows off a dead-stock 1966 gold cocktail frock with a Nancy Sinatra vibe. She introduces Emma, wearing a dead-stock silk-satin sarong dress from Hawaii circa 1964 and a sleek up-do. Kathleen also explains the delightfully ghoulish term "dead-stock," which we in the apparel industry use to describe garments that somehow survive through the years unworn and with their original tags still on. |
| The ever-fabulous Leah from Balance Salon shows off yet another dead-stock '60s dress, this one in a Hanukkah-friendly blue and silver color scheme that complements her violet and black hair and fab tattoos. Our favorite debutante, Dorian, works a decidedly WASP-y look with a '40s sheer rayon sequinned top and a Christmas plaid taffeta maxi skirt from the key party era, all topped off with an elaborately swirly hairdo. | ![]() |
![]() | Thaddius makes a dashing counterpart to Dorian with his '70s wool plaid golf pants, '50s Saks Fifth Avenue two-toned formal shirt, scarlet ascot and Rat Pack-era wool shawl-collared tuxedo jacket. |
| Erin channels a '40s Noir femme fatale in a dramatic off-the-shoulder black velvet and taffeta New Look frock covered with black paillettes. Bad-boy Rob saunters on the runway in a '70s wide-lapel tux with a '30s collarless formal shirt, a mysterious duck-puppet lapel pin and a totally outrageous pompadour. Joanna works a Liz Taylor look in a shimmery emerald green brocade sheath with matching jacket. Exotic Hannah is ready for breakfast at Tiffany's in a slinky ruffle-covered gown with matching stole and appropriately Audrey-ish up-do. | ![]() |
![]() | Between and after each runway performance, our models hobnobbed with the throng that jammed the aisles of the shop. Some of our audience members fit right into the show with their snazzy new purchases from our racks. A fabulous time was had by all! |
