World of Style is the creation of two sisters in northern New Jersey. We've been wearing vintage clothing as a fashion statement for more years than we care to admit (all right, about 30), starting with our mother's fabulous '50s clothes. Clothes were so well made back then that we're still wearing some of Mom's pieces. And that's the appeal of vintage for a lot of people: timeless fashions that were constructed to last. Our mission is to search far and wide for fine 20th-century apparel and bring it to you on these pages. We emphasize clothes that you can incorporate into your everyday wardrobe; unique pieces that won't be out of place in the office or on the street but will set you apart from the crowd.
We also sell vintage clothing and odds & ends on eBay, so take a look at our current auctions via the "Today on eBay" link.
OUR OFF-LINE STORE HAS MOVED! We are open for business at 18 Erie Street in Historic Downtown Jersey City, just around the corner from our old Newark Avenue location. Our hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays by appointment.
The groovy new shop shares space with Balance Salon, a mere two blocks west of the Grove Street PATH station, between Bay and First Streets. This location is also convenient to those of you driving in from the suburbs or the Big City; it's less than a mile from the Holland Tunnel and Exit 14C on the New Jersey Turnpike Extension. A convenient shopper's parking lot is nearby with entrances on Newark Avenue and First Street. See the map below.
