World of Style Vintage's Grand Opening
May 5, 2006
![]() | The shop's Grand Opening party in Historic Downtown Jersey City was a smashing success, drawing the rich, the famous and ordinary folks from a 90-mile radius. Here co-owner Kathleen O'Malley welcomes all with open arms. |
| It was a star-studded event. Village Person Felipe Rose (not pictured) made an early appearance with Carla Anderson, owner of Balance Hair Salon and 18 Erie Gallery. The celebs just kept on coming; here indie-pop heartthrob Michael Shelley and family browse the Style For Him collection. | ![]() |

| The party was very much a family affair. Besides Mr. Fields, the owners' parents and Christine's daughter Joanna--a young vintage fashion maven--were also in attendance. Here Dad O'Malley enjoys a delicious hors d'oeuvre in the conversation pit. The party was catered by Sweet Priscilla, a delightful café around the corner on Jersey Avenue. | ![]() |
![]() | The sisters take time out for a little snack and a sip of refreshing Pinot Grigio--which came, appropriately enough, from Little Black Dress Vineyards by way of the Palace Drugs Liquor Department next door. Christine's L.B.D. was a '60s Ann Fogarty silk chiffon sheath with bow accents on the straps. Kathleen wore a 1957 faille sheath with velvet trim that was originally part of Mom O'Malley's trousseau. |
