PAST EVENTS AT WORLD OF STYLE VINTAGE:

"A PEEK INTO THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE." JCLGO and Spoken Word Artist Dujuana Sharese put on quite a show for Black History Month at the Jersey City Museum. It was entertaining, thought-provoking and moving, and it featured historical outfits by World of Style Vintage!

ART & FASHION SHOWCASE AT NOBIS GALLERY. Downtown Jersey City's fabulous new gallery hosted a group exhibit & fashion show highlighting local businesses. We teamed up with Balance Salon to send a super-glam Model Squad, with our own Kathleen O'Malley as emcee. Part of JCLGO's Winter Socials series.

TOP SECRET MODEL SQUAD ON "QUIET CITY!" January's Penthouse Party on "Quiet City: Radio in Hi-Fi" celebrated the New Year 2-007 with a spy theme, so we sent over an elite team of models with a License to Thrill. Spymaster/DJ Jack Fetterman presided over an unforgettable night of music and intrigue! This Model Squad is a regular feature on Quiet City, so make a habit of tuning into the webcast on the third Wednesday of every month from 9pm to midnite!

WORLD OF STYLE MODEL SQUAD ON "QUIET CITY!" We decked the halls with a little online fashion show at the holiday gala Penthouse Party on "Quiet City: Radio in Hi-Fi", a webcast program of Evocative Music hosted by ultra-suave DJ Jack Fetterman on Luxuriamusic.com.

Holiday Fashion Show! Our stellar show with Balance Hair Salon was a swellegant success! To see more pix, click here. Our LIVE MODELS turned on the charm and entertained the masses to the tune of Mr. Gaylord Fields' fabulous sound design. This was part of JC Fridays, a four-times-a-year arts festival in Downtown Jersey City. Watch for our live JC Fridays fashion shows on the first Friday of every March, June, September and December!

The Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod World of Dawn Carrington! The ever-stylish British hostess of New York's Subway Soul Club put on a smashing exhibit of her way-out prints, bringing a spot of Swinging London to Jersey City. THE LONESOME PRAIRIE DOGS' live performance packed the house with art and music lovers and a good old time was had by all. The band was here to help usher in our latest Robert Piersanti exhibit, which debuted a painting featuring World of Style's gracious hostess, Kathleen O'Malley, as Agent 66. It was all part of the wildly popular 2006 Jersey City Artists Studio Tour!

New Trends From The Past, our first LIVE fashion show featured hair by Balance Hair Salon and the hottest new looks for Fall '06 which just happened to be from 30, 40 or 50 years ago. The models paraded in the front-window runway and the citizens of Downtown Jersey City watched in awe from the sidewalk. Fabulous!

Twist All Afternoon: Deejays Gaylord Fields (WFMU) and the Subway Soul Club's Phast Phreddie, The Boogaloo Omnibus had everyone Twisting up a storm. It was the living end!

In partnership with our fave-rave hair salon, Balance, and Jersey City Lesbian and Gay Outreach (JCLGO) we sent a five-girl Vintage Swimsuit Squad over to the Jersey City Pride Festival on the Hudson River waterfront to lend the event some extra fabulousness, because nobody can have too much fabulousness!

78 RPM Dance Party Deejays/music historians Matt Barton (Library of Congress) and Juke Joint Jonny (Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Co.) had the place jumpin', jivin' and Lindy-hopping. The boys literally blew up the speakers with their rockin' and rollin' red-hot old shellac!
